OUT NOW: UFOMAMMUT's 8

The wait for the latest UFOMAMMUT album is over — the band's latest full-length album, 8, is out today.

For the Italian trio, the album is particularly symbolic, as they remark..."8, seen as the infinite symbol, is for us representative of time tracing around an eternal line. More than ever, the process of writing, recording and realising 8 with the visuals of the artwork, inlay and videos, has led us to step back and observe the continuing evolution of Ufomammut in the past, present and future. Tracing our own line, and thinking about the possibilities." 

In partnership with The Obelisk, the band streamed the album in full earlier this week. You can listen to that right here. UFOMAMMUT also performed "Zodiac," a song from the new album, livestreaming on Neurot's Facebook page directly from Milan's Santeria Social Club.

If you're lucky enough to live near Milan, head over to Santeria Social Club tonight where UFOMAMMUT will host a very special event to not only mark the release of the album, but to celebrate the band's journey. They will perform not one, but two, live shows tonight, and host an exhibition of UFOMAMMUT artwork.

The band has some other surprises in store: they will present a brand-new vinyl and a digipack version of their first release, Godlike Snake. "Whilst we believe it's a good album, at the time we recorded it, we didn't have the same ears and possibilities of today, so, during this past year, we have taken the old tapes and re-mixed the album the way we believe it should be heard." The band will also release a book titled "The Art of Ufomammut": a four-color, 96-page book celebrating all of the artwork they've created as Malleus during their tenure as a band. Any copies remaining will be brought on tour the following week.

And, if that isn't enough, the band will present a five-color silkscreened poster for the forthcoming live dates. Check out full live listings below.
