GREAT FALLS unites current and former members of Kiss It Goodbye, Undertow, Playing Enemy, Bastard Feast, Gaytheist, and more. The band has been inundating the population with their savage amalgam of crushing sonics for more than fifteen years. Objects Without Pain takes the listener on a bleak, purgative journey through a separation – a snapshot of the turmoil and indecision that occurs after the initial realization of someone's misery, and before the ultimate decision to end a decades-long partnership. Its eight tracks explore the thoughts that come up when a person is staring down the barrel of blowing up their life: How did this happen? Is it too late for a new life? Will the kid be okay? What will make me happier: familiar torment or unknown freedom? The band has toured across the East and West Coasts and Europe in support of the record, including dates with the mighty Botch.
Objects Without Pain was recorded at Studio Litho and mixed at Antisleep, both by Scott Evans (Kowloon Walled City, Yautja, Thrice, No Lights), with additional recording by Jon Roberts and Stephan Hawks. The record includes additional instrumentation by John Schork, additional vocals by Lillian Albazi, with Albazi’s vocals recorded by Liam Moran and Sebby Hoppen at Demon Spawn Recordings. The record was mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Obituary, Sunn O))) -16-), and completed with art/layout by Demian Johnston and photography by Soren Hixenbaugh.
Objects Without Pain is streaming and available on 2xLP, CD, and digital platforms HERE, and the intense “Trap Feeding” video is playing HERE.
Having released their debut LP Slow Change Will Pull Us Apart, through Neurot in November. EX EVERYTHING is formed by current and former members of Kowloon Walled City, Early Graves, Mercy Ties, Blowupnihilist, Less Art, and other notable Bay Area acts from the past two decades. The result of pent-up rage and even terror, Slow Change Will Pull Us Apart showcases the band’s fusion of Dischord-influenced math rock and noisecore; a nuanced rage that refuses to accommodate the passive listener. The band has played several runs of regional tour dates in support of the album since its release
Slow Change Will Pull Us Apart was recorded with Scott Evans over four days in February 2022 at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, with overdubs completed at Antisleep Audio through early 2023. The record was mixed by Evans, mastered by Amar Lal, and completed with artwork by Demian Johnson of GREAT FALLS.
